Project Gorman

Nestled at the end of a quiet street with direct access to Brisbane’s Kedron Brook, this rare double block in Kalinga presented a unique canvas steeped in heritage and potential. The site housed an abandoned Queenslander, protected under a character overlay, requiring a careful blend of preservation and innovation. The solution was a bold transformation—raising the existing structure to create space beneath while seamlessly integrating a new modern extension that honours the home’s original charm.

This project is a study in restraint and renewal. Working within strict guidelines, the team delivered a contemporary interpretation of a classic Queenslander, designed to meet the demands of modern family living while retaining its character essence. With generous scale, thoughtful planning, and access to one of Brisbane’s most scenic green corridors, this home is now a standout example of how old and new can coexist beautifully in Kalinga.

Project Barnehurst

Set against the backdrop of Toohey Forest in Brisbane’s leafy suburb of Tarragindi, this contemporary split-level home was designed to harmonise with the surrounding landscape. A sloped site and stringent biodiversity and bushfire overlays presented both challenges and opportunities, resulting in a solution that celebrates light, elevation, and materiality. The considered layout features expansive glazing, a central stone spine wall and an open-plan kitchen and living space that balances visual warmth with practical flow.

Polished concrete floors, custom timber joinery and restrained details bring a quiet sophistication to the home. Every design choice was informed by the site, creating a residence that feels grounded yet elevated. With its natural palette and serene outlook, this home is a celebration of connected living within a thriving pocket of Brisbane.

Project Rani

Set in the leafy hills of The Gap in Brisbane, this award-winning renovation is a showcase of bold personality, practical planning and creative execution. Designed to reflect the client’s retro-inspired vision, the spaces embrace colour, texture and a little bit of quirk, without compromising function. From terrazzo tiles in the bathroom to statement cabinetry in the kitchen, every detail adds a layer of individuality while still feeling relaxed and cohesive.

Winning Best Renovation Design under $500,000 at the 2025 BDQ Design Awards, the home balances standout design moments with a grounded, tranquil feel. Surrounded by nature and tailored entirely to the lifestyle of its owners, this project captures what it means to create a home that’s truly personal, and proudly Brisbane.
